Frequently asked questions
At Savana, our Active ETFs are funds managed by the Savana proprietary technology platform and our dedicated team. These ETFs are traded on a securities exchange much like regular stocks, offering investors a straightforward way to participate in the global equity markets backed by Savana's unique technology and methodology. The dual-access capability allows investors to transact units on the securities exchange but also directly with our fund administrator.
On the Securities Exchange, there's no mandated minimum for starting investments. Opting to invest directly with the fund's administrator requires a baseline initial investment of A$5,000. There is no minimum investment amount for subsequent contributions to your account.
Investors can acquire units via the Securities Exchange through their brokerage services or by forwarding an Application Form directly to our fund's administrator. Should your investments be managed by a platform, it's best to consult your financial advisor on how to invest in our offerings.
It's important to understand the differences in investing through the Securities Exchange or directly with the fund's administration, especially in terms of pricing. We advise reading our Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Target Market Determination (TMD) to make an informed investment decision.
A Holder Identification Number (HIN) is assigned when purchasing units through a broker, while a Securityholder Reference Number (SRN) is provided when acquiring units directly. HINs begin with 'X', SRNs with 'I', and both are followed by a series of numbers. For confidentiality, your SRN is partially concealed on statements after the first. If there's any uncertainty regarding these identifiers, the unit registry or your broker should be your point of contact.
Investing directly with the fund's administration entails receiving transaction confirmations from the Unit Registry with your SRN included. Those who trade on the Securities Exchange will obtain confirmations from their broker. Note that confirmation receipts may be deferred by 10-15 business days during distribution periods.
You may exit from the Fund by issuing a withdrawal request to the fund's administration or by selling units on the Securities Exchange. Your mode of entry into the Fund does not restrict your exit strategy. For comprehensive details, refer to the PDS.
The cash distribution targets of the Fund are announced via the Securities Exchange platform and on our website. While aiming for a specific cash distribution, the fund's administration has the liberty to exceed this figure. Distributions are scheduled semi-annually and may include income and capital gains, after accounting for expenses.
